Camping and Caravanning Club site in Bowness Cumbria

Pland’s stainless steel products have been selected and installed within the renovated amenity block at the Bowness on Windermere Camping and Caravanning Club Site in Cumbria, previously known as Braithwaite Fold.

Utility Block

The campsite, which is situated on the eastern shore of Lake Windermere, is close to the centre of Bowness, a thriving tourist location. The site includes a mix of over 80 grass and hard standing pitches, with electric hook-up and great toilet and cleaning facilities, which is where the new Pland products have been Installed.

Stainless steel is a perfect material to produce products to reside in an external or internal situation.  It is a naturally durable and hygienic material that’s maintenance free and very easy to keep clean. The Pland products are displayed in abundance in the amenity block on this site which has an outdoor washing up area and indoor laundry facility both of which now showcase stainless steel freestanding sink units.

The Chemical Disposal Unit room and the Dog Washroom are also fitted out with Pland’s products and are receiving lots of positive comments from campers according to the site manager, Simon.

“As many of our campers now bring pets with them to site, the walk-in dog wash station has been particularly well received.  After, what can often be a muddy walk in the Lake District fells, owners can wash their dogs very easily within this showering unit, situated in its own room within the Amenity block.  It means that they are not carrying mud back into their caravan, mobile home or tent.” Said Simon, the site manager.

“The Chemical Disposal Unit (CDU) is also proving to be more popular than the open drain toilet that was provided by the previous owners. It is situated in its own room and is an easy height unit that flushes and has a handy douche for rinsing down. It makes this unpopular task just that bit easier and quicker to complete.”
