Q. What is the difference between 304 specification and 316 specification stainless steel?
A. 304 Grade stainless steel is typically used in catering environments and also Healthcare applications. It is commonly known as 18/8 or 18/10. These figures respectively refer to the Chrome and Nickel content of the stainless steel. 316 Grade stainless steel is the same composition but incorporates an additional element called Molybdenum which gives the material a greater degree of resistance to chemicals. Pland manufacture products in both grades.
