Investment in new people

Pland Stainless has invested in four new employees to support the growing business.

Steve Duree, MD of Pland explains, “The Pland business is experiencing exponential growth, in part due to new contracts some of which are due to customers recognising the benefits of buying British in the current climate. We are considered a local supplier which helps with their carbon footprint and improves their aftersales service too. This has resulted in the need to increase the team to satisfy our service levels.”

Craig Mitchell joined the team in May as Development Engineer to lead the team that creates new product designs and drawings for customers. He will also be working with the production team on process improvements as part of the business’s continuous improvement program.

Ellie Frank has joined the team as SHEQ Manager responsible for Safety, Health, Environment and Quality in the business. It’s a key role where she will be responsible for regular inspections, audits and the updating of policies and procedures for this manufacturing business.

Mia Stothart has joined the company as an additional Sales Administrator. She will be involved in ensuring that sales orders are correctly keyed into the ordering system, sending out quotes to customers and providing follow-up service calls too.

Chrissie Sunderland is their latest recruit to start in June. She reports to Russell Haigh, Financial Controller and is a new Financial Technician for the business. Her first task will be to focus on their bi-annual stock take.
