Stainless steel is an ideal material for use in medical, scientific, industrial and commercial laboratories and here at Pland Stainless we produce a number of products specifically for laboratory use. For many laboratories corrosion resistance and durability are of prime importance, in others its non-magnetic properties that will ensure its specification. Whatever the facility stainless steel is a material that’s easy to clean, impervious to most chemicals, has great strength and therefore longevity and looks great.

Our two most popular products sold for laboratory use are the Troy sink range and the Midway laboratory worktops. Both are made from 316 grade stainless steel for improved acid and corrosion resistance.

Troy is a range of sit-on and inset sinks in a broad range of sizes. The sit-on sinks as standard are single bowls incorporating a square profile front edge and 30mm back upstand in 1000, 1200 and 1500mm lengths. The inset standard range includes both single and double bowl options, sizes starting from 965 x 525mm up to 1448 x 525mm. Both come with tap holes as standard at 180mm centres, 29mm overflow, sound deadening pads, fixing clips and integral earth tag. Bespoke made to order sizes are also available. Troy is shown here with the Assur bridge lab tap.

Our Pland Midway units are a range of standard stainless steel worktops produced and held in stock but bespoke made to measure sizes are an option too. Available to stand up to a wall with back upstand or as an island unit standard sizes start from 600mm square up to 1800 x 600mm and standing 900mm high. The upstand and down turn size can be made to suit specific project requirements.

All products manufactured by Pland promote the CE mark and are therefore compliant to the European Construction Products Regulation. Established in 1919, we produce quality stainless steel products for the Commercial market.
